My name is Ben. I’m a soon-to-be Simon Fraser University graduate who’s taking the summer to bike across Canada (maybe with a short dip into the United States) before thinking ahead and settling into a career.)
In the past few years, I have been employed in local North Vancouver recreation centers and non-profits in awesome positions like teaching rock climbing, working as a youth leader and as an assistant to a soapbox building program for elementary aged students.
Right now I have one final university class online to complete while I’m on my trip and my jobs are flexible and winding down for the summer. So the stars have aligned and I’m off sometime in the first week of July to bike my way across the country from the Pacific to the Atlantic – and hopefully fundraise a bit of money for River Woods at the same time.
